I’ve had the privilege of being a pastor’s wife for almost four decades and I’m thankful God has given me the opportunity to walk with women on difficult journeys while watching Him accomplish incredible things.

Over the years, people asked if I could be available to do this as a professional service, and so that's the genesis of Life-Change Consulting Services.

Life-Change is a confidential service and personal sessions are held privately online where we can “meet together” and you can share with me your need. 

My prayer is that God will use this as a place of soul-healing and restoration.

Through Life-Change Consulting, we approach your needs from a biblical perspective—offering spiritual instruction and emotional support. The work here is a discipleship process—implementing biblical truth, in tandem with the work of the Spirit, and the power of the gospel, applied through grace. 

I’ve developed specific programs that address:

• building a health marriage
• battling addiction issues
• dealing with loss
• being a caregiver
• learning to resolve relational conflict. 

But I am also taking a limited number of clients for individual mentoring and discipleship.

 My prayer is that God will use this as a place of soul-healing and restoration. 

In fact, what I’m asking Him to do for those who reach out for help is this:

“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” (1 Peter 5:10)

When I think of being “established,” I think of a small, struggling plant that needs to be rooted deeply in the soil of truth and grace, nourished by love, and cared for by the wise Gardener and Counselor of our souls. When that work of establishing the feeble plant happens, it will begin to thrive and grow. It can become a mighty Oak or flourishing Dogwood. Under the wise Gardner’s hand, it will thrive.

The definition of the word “thrive” is: to progress toward or realize a goal despite or because of circumstances. I’ve developed an acronym to summarize what I hope you’ll experience as we take this journey together.

You may be at a very dark and hopeless place. I’ve been there and understand the feeling that things will never improve, that there’s no “key” to be found, no solution to the misery you’re experiencing. But, there is reason for hope and you don’t have to walk this journey alone. You matter. Your pain and suffering do not have to paralyze you, although it may feel that way. It isn’t helpful to ignore or deny those feelings. We can process them together and discover the way forward—beyond the misery and darkness—to a place of real hope, wholeness, and stability. 

There are many options available today when you’re looking for help, and it is important for you to understand what I’m offering on this website. This is not a “self-help” program or a positive thinking course. Our sessions together will not promote “healing yourself” techniques or a self-generated optimism, since we actually don’t have the power or ability within ourselves to break out of destructive cycles and step out of the bondage of shame, but there is One who graciously provides that power and freedom. 

God’s love is the ultimate source of healing and that will be freely distributed here. God has the power to destroy strongholds that bind and the compassion to lift the head of the shamed and oppressed. He alone can calm the storm of anxiety and lead you in the way of peace. Also, it’s important for you to know that I’m not a licensed counselor or a professional therapist. I’m simply a woman who has come alongside other women, for decades, to walk with them in hard places, listening with an open heart, and sharing truths and encouragement I’ve learned from Scripture and life experience.
